The Pigeon Syndrome

It's not wholly understood why they abandon their daily hunt for food

Seems they'd rather sit around on some perch curdling and brood

Any morsel of food that hits the ground is quickly divoured nary a crumb to be found

Rousting each other for space back up on the perch not ev'n fly'n off for worms to search

Cooing with a melody soft yet absurd, there seems to be no real motivation for this crumbsnat'n bird

Not a totally bad thing as I observe, it's needs are very real, and whether it's aware or not the pimp'n of it's instincts are part of the deal.
